ALABAMA ’ S ‘ BEST HOSPITAL ’ In U . S . News & World Report ’ s annual “ Best Hospitals ” rankings , UAB Hospital once again was named the best hospital in Alabama for 2020-2021 . The magazine also named eight specialty programs at UAB among the top 50 of their kind in the nation , including seven within the top 30 .
MAGNET NURSING MATTERS The CTI is staffed by nurses who are among the best in their industry . In 2019 , UAB Hospital was certified as a Magnetdesignated organization for the fifth consecutive time by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program . It is the most prestigious honor a health care organization can receive for excellence in nursing and patient outcomes . First designated in 2002 , UAB Hospital is only the 21st hospital worldwide to receive this recognition five consecutive times .
