2012 Budget The Developmental Disabilities Administration budget for the State of Maryland was not reduced despite the possibility of funding cuts given the tough economic times and Maryland deficit. Last year it was discovered that DDA had unspent funds, while people were on the DDA Waiting List, and people receiving supports were underfunded. The budget included a restoration of the $28.5 million of unspent funds in general funds to support a full, ongoing set of services We want to thank the legislators and the Governor who stood together allowing the restoration of funds. Additional highlights of the DDA budget highlights included $15 million in funding through the alcohol tax that began in FY12 and includes increases for FY13: DDA Providers rate increase. $8.9 million in general funds. Transition Youth. $6.2 million in general funds. Resource Coordination. $2.6 million in general funds. Court-Involved Individuals. $765,000 in general funds. Waiting List Equity Fund. $765,000 in general funds.
