2026 SUBARU SOLTERRA
COMING FALL 2025
Subaru’ s first and only Electric Vehicle, the 2026 Solterra features many upgrades including a better AWD system, longer range, and improved performace.
Battery and Charging
Battery capacity has increased slightly, now at 74.7 kWh. That boost helps the Solterra achieve an estimated 285 miles of range— about 25 % more than before. It’ s a meaningful improvement for daily use and weekend getaways.
Charging is also faster. With 150 kW DC fast-charging capability, it now takes under 35 minutes to go from 10 % to 80 %. Subaru is also switching to Tesla’ s NACS charging port, giving Solterra drivers access to over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers across North America.
Design and technology
Outside, the Solterra gets a cleaner look. Updates include a redesigned bumper, sharper LED headlights, and a newly illuminated Subaru badge for a more high-tech feel.
Inside, a new 14-inch touchscreen anchors the dashboard. There are also dual 15-watt wireless chargers and USB-C ports, making it easier to stay connected on the go. Subaru’ s signature 8.3 inches of ground clearance remains, along with drive modes for snow and mud— because electric doesn’ t mean less adventure.

39 performance and powertrain
The 2026 Subaru Solterra gets a solid performance upgrade. The standard model now delivers 233 horsepower from its dual electric motors— up from 215 hp in the previous version. That extra power brings smoother acceleration and a more responsive drive.
Subaru is also introducing a new XT trim, which ramps things up to 338 horsepower. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds, making it the quickest Solterra yet. As expected, all trims come with Subaru’ s symmetrical all-wheel-drive system, providing confidence on any road or trail.
