Spreading holiday cheer
This holiday season, Mark Miller Subaru and the Utah Jazz brought joy the students and staff at Truman Elementary. With an increasing number of students experiencing housing insecurity, the need for food, clothing, and other essentail resources, our team was honored to help brighten the season, ensuring every student felt seen, supported, and celebrated.
The excitement was undeniable— students’ faces lit up with pure joy as they carried their holiday sacks home to share the experience with their families. Parents expressed heartfelt gratitude, calling it“ the best day ever” for their children. For many, this day of celebration was the boost they needed to finish the semester strong.
At Mark Miller Subaru, we believe in supporting and uplifting our community— especially during the holidays.
Going Above and Beyond
As part of Mark Miller Subaru’ s annual Employee Giving Campaign, we partnered with, Utah Community Action, on their Stuff-A-Tummy food drive. Utah Community Action delivers everything needed to make a traditional Thanksgiving meal to 150 families in our community who might not otherwise be able to have a meal. Mark Miller Subaru mployees took on the challenge of supplying the biscuit mix for those meals! The table for donations was stacked high with boxes and cases of biscuit mix. By the end of our donation drive, we’ d exceeded our goal by getting an extra 42 bags of biscuit mix! In addition to donating to the Stuff-a-Tummy, we brought the extra donations to the Volunteers of America Youth Rescource Center, which provides meals to youth experiences homelessness in our community. Mark Miller Subaru employees have an attitude of giving, and are often willing to pitch in their time, money, and donations to help those in need. We were delighted to assist the work of two great organizations put warm, satisfying food in the bellies of our neighbors.

Helping Kids Stay Warm
Winter in Utah can be harsh, especially for children without proper cold-weather gear. With nearly 54 % of students in Granite School District living at or below the poverty level, staying warm through the season is a significant challenge. To help address this need, Mark Miller Subaru partnered with Operation Warm to provide hundreds of brand-new winter coats to students facing hardship. More than just a donation, these coats offered a practical solution— ensuring that children could get to school comfortably and focus on learning instead of worrying about the cold.
Mark Miller Subaru has long partnered with Granite Education Foundation to provide essential resources like food, school supplies, and clothing for students in need. By easing these burdens, we help students focus on their education rather than their basic needs. Supporting our community in such a meaningful way is more than just part of the Subaru Love Promise— it’ s a commitment to being responsible stewards of the communities we serve. When businesses, schools, and nonprofits work together, we create real change. Because when a community comes together, everyone benefits.
