Launch Armenia ' s first AI-native public school
September 2026. Seroond Schools will welcome their first students into learning environments unlike anything Armenia, or most of the world, has seen. These are not schools with AI bolted on. They are schools built from the ground up for a world where AI is already reshaping what children need to learn, how they learn it, and what kind of humans they need to become. Rooted in the 6C framework, socialemotional learning, and deep community partnership, Seroond Schools are being co-created with a broad council of educators, technologists, researchers, and leaders who understand this moment and refuse to let our children inherit an education system designed for the last century. The Authored School model has been submitted to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. This is proof that Armenian public education can lead, not follow, and that a small nation can show the world what courage in education looks like.
Scale Seroond Catalyst Nationwide
With Ministry endorsement, proven results across small and large schools, the Catalyst pilot in 6 newly built schools, and discussions underway for 30 more, Seroond is ready for full-scale expansion. Our target: reach every corner of the country, because a child’ s future should not depend on their postal code.
Deepen the Data Infrastructure
We are building internal benchmarks for academic growth using Standardized Effect Size, centralizing data through Salesforce, finalizing nationally relevant literacy and numeracy assessments, and refining the Teacher Efficacy Tool for full integration across all programs. Data is not a buzzword for us. It is the foundation of every decision we make.
Build the Endowment
AEI is pursuing a major endowment campaign to ensure this work outlasts any single funder, any single leader, and any single political cycle. This is about building permanent infrastructure for educational equity in Armenia. Our organizational foundation is strong: a BCG organizational health assessment scored us 4.5 out of 5 on overall engagement, we earned Great Place to Work certification in 2023, and our average staff tenure stands at 4.6 years, exceptional for the nonprofit sector in any country.
