Building a
Safer Sport
Every athlete deserves to participate in a safe and supportive environment. Through athlete protection policies, education and proactive safety initiatives, USASF works to help safeguard athletes and support their wellbeing both on and off the competition floor.
Background Screenings
Background screening is a key component of USASF ' s athlete protection program. Members 18 years of age and older are required to complete an annual background screening through JDP, USASF ' s background screening partner. This requirement applies to club owners, coaches, volunteers, non-coaching staff and adult athletes. Individuals who receive a green light determination and complete all other membership requirements are considered for USASF membership.

Abuse Prevention Education
USASF provides abuse prevention training and resources to help strengthen athlete safety across the All Star community. Designed for all members and participants, the training identifies the warning signs of abuse and misconduct, ways to reduce risk and how to respond to concerns appropriately.
