The project was initiated to enrich Yerevan’ s cultural life by integrating music into daily public commutes, while serving as a dedicated platform for young musicians to perform and share their talent and music. This initiative aimed to transform a routine transit experience into a moment of artistic discovery.
The initiative launched with a dedicated opening night concert, formally introducing the Musical Metro format. The opening event demonstrated the feasibility of integrating live performance into the metro environment.
During the reporting period, over 100 applications were received, 16 concerts were held, featuring musicians, band and ensembles from various genres. A special highlight of the program was a surprise performance by Aram MP3, designed to create an unexpected cultural moment and broaden public engagement. The program concluded with a closing concert held with the participation of a Eurovision Song Contest delegate, PARG, reinforcing the initiative’ s international cultural dimension and visibility.
