Internationalisation , a key lever for recovery
Internationalisation is in the chamber DNA and the Chamber of Spain has highlighted the importance of including it as one of the core levers for the recovery of the Spanish economy in the wake of the pandemic .
This was made clear by José Luis Bonet to the President of the Government in his speech at the presentation of the Internationalisation Plan for the Spanish economy . “ Internationalisation is not only a condition for survival and competitive development , but is also necessary to address the future of our companies and the Spanish economy ,” highlighted the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain .
This is a task in which women ' s involvement is crucial , as was highlighted in the report “ Women and Internationalisation of the Spanish Economy ,” which featured the participation of the Chamber of Spain and the conclusions of which were presented to Her Majesty the Queen . The Director General of the Chamber of Spain , Inmaculada Riera , advocated for the removal of the barriers that hinder access to public procurement for companies led by women . “ We have detected barriers in the legislative framework and in access to tenders and information . More transparency is needed . It is also necessary to facilitate access to financing of international projects for companies led by women ”, stated Riera .
