Tourism . The considerable importance of tourism was brought to the fore at the Future of Tourism World Summit that the INCYDE Foundation held in Barcelona in October together with the World Tourism Organization and the Advanced Leadership Foundation . The Summit ended with an appeal from participants to highlight the need to reactivate the tourism sector ' s growth in a more inclusive and responsible direction , in line with the Sustainable Development Goals . The Barcelona Declaration featured 10 commitments , including the need for leadership to boost tourism ’ s transformative potential as a source of opportunity and empowerment for people , being climate friendly and a pillar of economic growth and employment .
