“ Oficinas Acelera Pyme”( Accelerate SMEs Offices)
The digitalisation of SMEs was the primary focus of the Chamber of Spain ' s activity in 2021 within the framework of the programmes financed with ERDF funds and the new programmes included in the National Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience financed with Next Generation EU funds.
Besides to the TicCámaras programme, which the Chamber of Spain has been implementing through the network of territorial chambers for the implementation of information technologies in SMEs, a major step was taken in 2021 for the digitalisation of small and mediumsized enterprises: the launch of the network of“ Oficinas Acelera Pyme” offices alongside Red. es through the network of territorial chambers. Although the initial plan was to open 35 offices over the past year, the number was finally increased to 39, with an additional four offices being co-financed solely with ERDF funds managed by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain as intermediate body. Another 25 offices will be opened in 2022.
Its goal is to support SMEs, self-employed workers and entrepreneurs in their digital transformation process. Furthermore, the“ Oficinas Acelera Pyme” offices conduct awareness-raising work in order to foster the use of technology among the business community.
