The schools that we have developed provide a safe learning environment to students who would otherwise be learning in dilapidated buildings or not learning at all. This total of 85 schools includes Child-Friendly schools, pop-up schools, permanent structures and Block Schools.
This is the total amount of children who have received or are receiving a quality education through our programs. We are proud of this number, but also acknowledge that with 262 million children and youth out of school globally, there is still a lot of work to be done!
Every time we build a Block School or a Block Home, we remove plastic waste from our environment that would otherwise end up in our rivers, oceans, and landfills. To date, we have recycled 34.4 tonnes of plastic waste by building Block Schools and Block Homes.
