Actsafe continued to engage with their community by offering various support throughout the year. For the
first time, Actsafe presented the Aspiring Filmmaker Award to the winning student, Ethan Eigenfeldt. Other
donation recipients included; BC CITT; CITT; Dancer Transition Resource Centre; Capital Presents; Western
Canadian Music Alliance Inc.; Vancouver Island South Film & Media Commission; Reel Thanksgiving Challenge
and WorkSafeBC Student Safety Video Contest.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Actsafe is committed to integrating sustainable practices through the promotion of sourcing sustainable
resources from suppliers and partners, and with goals to substantially reduce waste generation through
prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. Actsafe’s CSR Committee reviews and monitors the organization’s
social responsibility, activity and sustainable endeavours.

Actsafe team committee members took the Carbon Literacy course
Reduced in-house printing
Reduced food waste (communal food ordering)
Switched to Sugar Sheet (further information below) saving 6.25 trees;
To minimize deforestation and reduce greenhouse emissions, Actsafe
Safety Association is proud to use 100% forest-free Sugar Sheet Paper for
our office paper and operational printing needs.
