Helping to build
OUR region relies on a thriving grazing industry , but market fluctuations and drought can impact profitability , even viability . We support graziers to meet these challenges by focusing on aspects of their business that they can control , such as soil health , water and stock management , and improving business knowledge .
Grazing BMP
Under the Grazing BMP ( Best Management Practice ) program , we support producers through a series of modules covering grazing land management , soil health , animal health and welfare , animal production , and people and business .
The program was developed in partnership between AgForce , the Fitzroy Basin Association and Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries .
The Queensland Government funded the roll out across the Great Barrier Reef catchments .
