Mayur Shah Area Secretary / Treasurer IPAC Highlights of the year • TEXT program was held in Chickmagalur • RT 21 Held their annual “Talents” fest during RTI week. Kids of various schools took part in various activities to show off their talents. • RT 21 renovated their adopted school in Chamundi hills by providing new roofing sheets, etc. • RT 109 had their annual kite fest which saw the tablers showing off their kite flying skills with children. • RT 109 conducted “Carnival” during RTI week. Differently abled kids were given a carnival like atmosphere to have fun. • RT 109 built and inaugurated classroom blocks in their adopted school. • RT 115 distributed school bags to orphanage and conducted “feed a smile” program every month. • RT 156 had their new school block completed and inaugurated. • RT 156 conducted “Taare Zameen par” event during RTI week which saw over 100kids participating. • RT 164 held their annual eco drive, a 4 x 4 event in Chickmagalur which saw a number of participants from all over Karnataka took part to show off their driving skills. • RT 164 travelled to Mangalore and had joint fellowship and projects with RT 115 & RT 190. • RT 164 travelled to Mysore and had a joint fellowship with RT 21, RT 109, RT 156 & RT 256. • RT 166 & RT 266 had a mega joint fellowship to celebrate the festival of colours, Holi which saw over 40 families participating. • RT 256 held Kiddathon, a marathon for kids which saw over 500 kids participating. • RT 256 built a new school block in the shape of the bus to attract more kids. • RT 166 & RT 266 conducted Knights in Khakis program where the felicitated policemen and women for their exceptional performances. • RT 276 went to ground zero during Kerala & Coorg floods and provided relief materials. • A team From AREA 13 went to Coorg during floods and provided relief materials and distributed to the needy. • National fellowship Day was celebrated in a big way at Mysore which saw a Futsal competition amongst tablers of Area 13. Over 200 heads participated in the event. 68
