Highlights of the year
• Distribution of 2000 flood relief kits across 5 districts and multiple villages affected by the flood, individually
spearhead by the tablers themselves.
• Rescuing people who were stranded in front of their houses and terraces by boats, jeeps and even by walk.
• Providing and distributing relief material to the various camps, including air lifting by helicopter.
• Raising a corpus of 1.1 crore within a month of the calamity hitting the state.
• Identification of 25 schools which were affected by the floods, doing due diligence and then preparing a plan to
execute the scope of work using the funds raised by round table and Cognizant technology Solutions. Total deployed
value of 1.65 crores.
• Rti week activities carried out with vigour across the tables with many noble initiatives including go green Guinness
world record entry by MCRT99.
• National fellowship day celebrated with 16 tables from area 1 and 3 tables from area 7 participating, making it a
record ever in A1.
• Kochi Karnival, first ever mega event of the size of an AGM where in all families got together for fun and fellowship.
• 25th Mid term meet with area 7 at Kovalam in the month of February with record registration
• Sports meet at Kodai international school in the month of September providing the most scenic playing ground.
• Area mass tour, one of it's kind in the country with 80 heads heading to Turkey and Cappadocia in the month of April
2019.
• Established fund raisers like the CRT71s sensation new year party, Thrissur's marathon, 121s food fest amongst
other new events were the highlight of the year.
• Flight of fantasy conducted by MCRT 99
• Cyclone Gaja victims being helped by Trichy, Nagercoil, Madurai and other tablers from the area.
• Corporate social responsibility took a whole new meaning with many tablers rising up to the occasion and
contributing lakhs of material like mattresses and bedsheets and RO plants etc for the flood affected victims
• Well organized AEXs, Area AGM roster for the next 10 years, committed events
• Big 4 sports meet held by cochin tables involving basketball, volleyball, football and cricket. CRT71 were the overall
champions
• NEX at cochin with the entire national board having a gala time thanks to A1 hospitality
• National president visit in 2 legs covering the entire area from Trivandrum to Trichur and Nagercoil to Trichy.
• Record 185 fellowship and 42 socials in one tabling year by QRT 85.
