12 AWB ANNUAL REPORT

GRASSROOTS ALLIANCE

Started in 2014, the AWB-Local Chamber Grassroots Alliance has grown to more than 70 chamber and economic development partners. The partnership was key to the success of the 15-stop small-business tour and key catalyst to the broad-based effort to educate business leaders across the state on the importance of electing businessfriendly legislators.

D. C. FLY-IN

What happens in the“ other Washington” impacts Washington state. That’ s the reason AWB hosted its third annual D. C. Fly-in Dec. 5-7. Meeting with Washington’ s congressional delegation and key national partners is an effective way for business leaders to champion federal policies that encourage economic growth and meet the needs of Washington’ s trade- and techdependent economy.

SMALL BUSINESS LEGISLATIVE AGENDA

Nothing is more fundamental to Washington’ s economy than the health of its small businesses. Taking feedback from the 15-stop smallbusiness tour, AWB created a legislative agenda and robust outreach effort focused on policies that create tax certainty and cut the regulatory red tape holding back job creation and business expansion.
