The new Sonia Gutierrez Campus, a 50,000
square foot building in northeast D.C. dedicated
to workforce development, opened in October
2013. This state-of-the-art campus, named
after the School’s founder, allows the School
to provide classes to hundreds more students
daily and to double the size of the culinary arts
program.
At the grand opening, which took place on
October 8, more than 250 guests received tours
of the building that included demonstrations by
students of the culinary arts, computer support
specialist and nurse aide training programs.
Carlos Rosario School founder Ms. Gutierrez told
the crowd, “Today we celebrate the power of the
human spirit. Today we celebrate the meaning of
the American dream, as it is brought to life by the
many students that have risen to the challenge.”
