TRAILS GRANT FOR MANITOBA
Impacts :
Social : Increased traffic on trails . Community connection . Trails provide easy access to various locations in the area .
Economic : Pathway is part of a large new residential development . Trails are attractive addition to new residents & business owners .
Environmental : Increase in Active Transportation has led to a decrease in vehicle traffic !
Impacts :
Social : Lower wetlands now accessible by trail . Reconnection with nature .
Economic : Visitor attraction . Increased traffic to local businesses .
Environmental : Defined trail bed keeps users on trail , thus minimizes wetland damage .
