all members may read.

From the UK were Nimrod Waniala and David Waniala one of our masters of ceremony official. There are
many others whose names I did not get.
Mr. Nimrod Waniala with the Common Wealth Secretariat in London, gave a Professional presentation,
masterful done through the definitions of the key
theme concepts, in the context of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and
the Common wealth. In emphasizing the themes,
Mr. Waniala was able to put the issues at hand in
the context of the history of Bugisu values over the
years. What informed quality of life in Bugisu was
driven by honest hard work, access to quality education and health facilities.
Others who spoke at the conference were Mr. Francis
Nagimesi on the economy and BCU, Professor Simbi,
from Atlanta Georgia. Dr. Cathy Nabudere power
point presentation was delivered by Dr. Waburoko
who also doubled as Co-host Chairman.
The Chairman LC V Mbale District Mr. Bernard Mujasi
a very active participant on both days addressed and
informed the meeting of the positive developments
in the health and education sectors. He also gave a
very harsh indictment of the negative aspect of circumcision culture that informs the stubborn psyche
of a mumasaba. He believes that this negative influence affects the general development of the region.
His speech informed the break down sessions divided into Health, Education, Culture, Economy and
Youth. Resolutions emerged from these committee
sessions.
The therapy he recommends is to remodel the mumasaba psyche through education, especially what
the young men are told prior to under going the circumcision cut. It was also his view that a mumasaba
is a very complicated individual who needs to be
studied and establish how best to engage. Apparently and strange, missing throughout the conference
was the host Mayor Mbale.
The Evening was closed following the Dinner bouquet. This brief is not exhaustive and others may feel
free to add left out information.
Entertainment at the NAMCA AGM 2012
The conference, was historic and a big success because it did mobilize most intended stake holders in
matters of development in our region and beyond.
Also looking back at the ups and down that at times
threatened the existence of the organization, one
could not help but appreciate the struggles and success. As a starting point, the basis for future mobilization has been laid down and now the challenge is
to build on it. This will require focus and mobilization; especially much needed financial resources to
drive the programs.
Once again, appreciation to all who made this a success story and an appeal to all who may have for one
reason or another been unable to engage, to come
into the fold. Everyone is important and needed for
this just cause. The Diaspora was represented from
as far as Edmonton, Toronto in Canada the David
Malayi family son and mom. From the US were Jane
Gidudu and daughter, Francis Matsanga Kisukye,
