This article presents several essays about Victorian culture from different authors; the author did like a summary of the main points of the each critical essay that deals with the functions of Victorian culture at the twenty-first century. The author gives three main points about the Victorian era that we use for our own benefits that are: the nostalgia, fidelity, and authenticity. The author demonstrates in this paper that we (postmoderns) are similar to Victorians; he mentioned that some things have not changed; our society is still being homophobic, chauvinist, etcetera. We are not too far from Victorians even though several years have passed.

This is a very good article; it has many different points of view from different authors. It details information that it can be used to explain the similarities and differences that we have with Victorian people. This paper describes very well our society and a lot of things about post-Victorian era. This article illustrates the legacy that Victorians left and it also demonstrates that postmoderns are not thinking in the future, they are thinking in the past.
