No matter what the world says , we are called to be in fellowship . We were created to experience life in communion with one another . Ecclesiastes 4:9 , ESV says , " Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their toil . For if they fall , one will lift up his fellow ." We need friends , but my age group ' s concern is that they have little to no godly friends . Everyone is looking for a good time , and often we surround ourselves with people whom God has not assigned to us . So how do you discern which friends are worth keeping ? One , does that individual have a genuine love for God and is actively working on their relationship with Him ? You both cannot have two distinctive viewpoints on morality since , in due season , you two will clash . Two , not only does whom you spend your time with matter but how you spend your time together ? Pay attention to the common topics of conversation . Who and what are you talking about ? Is your focus on gossip ? What is the goal of your friendship ? Are you trying to fill a
