I’ve recently adopted this mantra: “Fuck You, Me First.” Last month I took a terrifying leap out of an amazing four and a half year relationship to grow by myself, and here’s what I’m learning during this empowering time: living in an uncomfortable, unknown place provides me the clarity to see the relationship for what it was, how it served me at a pivotal time in my life. I recognize I’m risking a lot by putting this relationship aside, but love is ABOUT taking risks! And right now I’m risking self-love over anything or anyone else! And I celebrate the meaningful, good relationship that came into my life that will ultimately lead me to a deeper, greater relationship with myself. When you create space, there emerges an opportunity to fill it. And my unquenchable curiosity of what Sarah is going to become-devoid of accountability to anyone but Sarah-has already filled my soul with new experiences, adventures, and revelations!

Improv. Like most industries, heavily male dominated. When I was fresh to NYC, my number one priority, find the right improv company. A company that was short form, hone my skills, and "Top of Your Intelligence" play. After searching and searching, I found them. FaceOff Unlimited. Being a woman member of this incredible company helped me stretch my skills but most importantly, rule in a male dominated industry. BATSU!, FOU’s longest running show is a live Japanese Game Show performed in the East Village four nights a week. As the sound warrior and tour manager, ladies run the show, while the guys, well, they get shot with paintball guns. And it is the women that fire the paintballs. This Fall I had the pleasure of managing the company's first tour of the show. While it was myself and five of the funniest men I know, being in charge was empowering and frankly, the best "Top of Your Intelligence" decision FOU had ever made!
