Manatee Management
Often exceeding 1,000 pounds in weight, manatees
are not easy to transport. Zoo staff and volunteers
have stepped up to provide Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission’s response team with the
needed muscle for manatee rescues and releases.
