I am sure that the specimen anglers by religion will support this idea 100% ,so often in smaller lakes we experience fish species dying in there hundreds especially in dams where there is no natural flow of water , about a year ago we had hundreds of fish dead in Cathcart dam in the free state , the uninformed critics that is usually "Mr Know It All " will say it is pollution instead it is the shortage of oxygen and this occurs in lakes where there is over population of fish species in the water column , especially in the dry season when with no rain and the lesser water in the dam the fish will suffocate of too little oxygen , remember a few years ago when Hartebeespoort dam was 33% full, thousands of fish died of the simple fact that there was to many fish in a small space of water . In order to control the numbers of the Carp population government issues legal permits to Angling Times Weekly SA 37 ” members to supply a food source to the community and this is where the war starts between anglers and netters as the netter takes what is in the net and the monster Carp hunter release what he hunts.
