Q. Why would a potential designer want to be a part of FWSD? "The incentive package for the winning designer this year is really amazing. The World Trade Center of San Diego donated an entire package that really will help them if they want to take advantage of it, to take their business international. Modcloth, which is an online retailer, the Monday after fashion week, we have an appoint set-up for the winning designer with their buyers, which is huge. Getting that meeting is probably one of the hardest things you can try get as an emerging designer." Q. What would you personally like for people to know about Fashion Week San Diego 2013? "This year we're having three nights of runway shows, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. There's 26 designers this year and Thursday night we're going to end with celebrity designers. You'll get to see a lot of great fashion, so anybody who loves fashion, there's something for you. All the designers are completely different and they have their own aesthetic. Some have very futuristic, innovative things happening and there's very classic madmen silhouette's too. There's great range. You'll find something or you'll appreciate it."
