Iglesia rally led to Poe’s fall from grace

F

or the past months,
she was the new political darling. Senator
Grace Poe zoomed
up the national polls
for most preferred presidential candidates. Oh, if the elections were held earlier last month, she would have been the
country’s next president.
But something happened on Edsa. Members of
the Iglesia ni Cristo staged a
rally for several days protesting against Justice Secretary
Leila de Lima following an alleged kidnapping drama that
rocked the church. INC members called for a separation of
church and state.
