RIZALYN Wilbow, a mother
from Central Coast, received
the $2,000 cash for winning the
grand prize of the 2015 Ozing
Pinoy i-Click Mo Photo contest
sponsored by the Western
Union.
A special awards presentation programme was held last
month at The Hub, Mt. Druitt
Library to wrap up the seven month amateur photography contest for Filipino-Australians.
Rizalyn’s photo ‘Luksong
Tinik’ was picked by a fivemember panel of judges to win
the grand prize. Her photo was
the December monthly winner.
The prize was presented to
Rizalyn and her two children
by Western Union community relations manager Benjie
De Ubago. They were joined
at the presentation by ConsulGeneral Anne Jalandoon Louis, youth judge and Blacktown
City youth ambassador Rachelle Rativo, and Millie Phillips, publisher of Kalatas Media which organised the contest.
Half of Riza’s prize money has been earmarked for an
NGO in Las Pinas to help poor
schoolchildren.

The Grand Finals panel of
judges was composed of noted artist Ding Roces, musician
Jim Paredes, digital media specialist Ken Simpson, Ms de
Ubago and Ms Rativo.
The contest ran for seven months last year and gave
away over $6,000 in cash prizes to winners and their nominated beneficiaries in the Philippines.
