DepEd, partners launch #BeCyberSafe
project

PASIG CITY-- To further
educate
learners,
teachers,
parents, the school, and the
community on how children
can be safe in the online world,
the Department of Education
(DepEd), in collaboration with
Stairway Foundation and the
Internet and Mobile Marketing
Association of the Philippines
(IMMAP), officially launched
the #BeCyberSafe project on
November 9, 2018 at DepEd
Bulwagan ng Karunungan.
Consisting of three
major components, namely,
Project for Keeps, Dalir-Eskwela,
and Chatbot, the #BeCyberSafe
project is aimed at ensuring that
the scope of child protection
extends to the cybersphere.
Project for Keeps is a
social media movement created
to empower children, with the
help of their guardians, to take
control of their online profiles,
and keep themselves safe from
online strangers and predators.
Coined from the words
daliri (finger) and eskwela
(school), Dalir-Eskwela offers a
range of educational materials

OFF CELEBRATION
IN observance of the National
Children’s Month Celebration, the
Provincial Government of Cavite
thru the Provincial Council for the
Protection of Children participated
in the recitation of the Panatang
Makabata led by PCPC Child
Representative Ms. Reign Maica
Cabonegro together with the
employees of the public and private
offices, schools and organizations
during the flag-raising ceremony
held at the Provincial Gymnasium
in Trece Martires City on
November 5, 2018. The PCPC
will be conducting activities for
this month as part of the celebration
of Children’s Month including
the First Cavite Provincial
Children’s Conference and the
Cavite
Provincial
Children’s
Month Celebration to be held on
November 27-28 and November
29, respectively. These events,
together with the recitation of
Panatang Makabata promote the
rights and responsibilities, as well
as the obligation of the people and
institutions in ensuring the well-
being of the Filipino children.
The Cavite PCPC is encouraging
every personnel of the PGC to
work with the Board towards a
child-friendly Cavite. This year’s
celebration focuses on POSITIVE
PARENTING with the theme
“Isulong: Tamang Pag-aaruga Para
sa Lahat ng Bata”.

patient groups and civil
society organizations (CSOs)
in Luzon and the National
Capital Region (NCR) for
the 7th Policy Dialogue on
Universal Healthcare (UHC)
and Access to Medicines
(ATM) in Manila.
