President Duterte announces Manila
Bay clean up
PASAY CITY — President
Rodrigo Roa Duterte on
Tuesday, January 8, announced
a major clean-up of the Manila
Bay, warning hotels in the area
to refrain from dumping their
waste into the sea or else they
will face closure.
In a speech before local
officials during the Barangay
Summit on Peace and Order,
President Duterte said he had
ordered Environment Secretary
Roy Cimatu and Interior and
Local Government Secretary
Eduardo Año to start cleaning
up the Manila Bay.
“They will start to clean
it, whether they like it or not,
lahat itong… Itong mga hotel”
he told local officials gathered at
the Cuneta Astrodome.
“Lagyan ninyo ng water
treatment ‘yang hotel niyo, ‘pag
hindi, sirahan ko ‘yan. Huwag
mo akong hamunin. Eh kung
wala tayong turista, eh ‘di wala.
Hindi naman tayo mamamatay.

close it. Sigurado ‘yan,” he
added.
The President also
issued a stern warning to the
members of the military and the
police to avoid going to bars and
other drinking places. He also
told them not to bring their guns
to those establishments.
“Kaya ‘yang mga pulis —

you, do not drink in public,” he

Cavite provincial and other local
government units distributed a
total of 35 police patrol vehicles,
4 motorcycle units and 56 rifles
to various police offices in the
province to support the Philippine
National Police (PNP) – Cavite
in their relentless fight against
law drug related criminalities
and other law offenders in the
province.
During

turn-
over ceremony held in Camp
Pantaleon Garcia here, Governor
Jesus Crispin Remulla led the
distribution of 15 units of L300
FB van worth PHP14.47 million,
36 brand new units of Armalite
rifles worth PHP12 million and
crime laboratory equipment to the
provincial police office.

Cavite through the free healthcare
services provided during the
medical and dental mission held
on January 8, 2019 at Barangay
Poblacion 5, in Amadeo. The
New Year spirit was alive as the
volunteers from the Provincial
Health Office deliver services
that fill the hearts of constituents
needing
medical
assistance.
Hundreds of locals thanked
the presence of public officials

Administrator for Community

visited them and showed gestures
of kindness. During the outreach
event, barangay officials and health

Cordero and SK Chairperson Abby
Quince who assisted the medical
volunteers also expressed their
gratefulness to Governor Boying
Remulla for the medicines donated,
and most importantly for the
conduct of the mission that served
a total of 301 patients.
