DILG warns public against the use
of illegal firecrackers/pyrotechnics
QUEZON CITY--Three days
before New Year’s Eve, the
Department of the Interior and
Local
Government
(DILG)
warns that any person who is
caught manufacturing, selling,
distributing or using illegal
firecrackers and pyrotechnics
may be fined or imprisoned or
suffer both penalties.

deal with those who do not abide
by the law and regulations.

Three MoAs forged between PGC and DICT
for free Wi-Fi and Information Technology
TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite
-- Three Memorandums of
Agreements were entered by
the provincial government with
the Department of Information
and Communication Technology
(DICT) in line with its advocacy
to provide quality internet
services in the province.
A provision of 1.5
gigabyte bandwidth for the
LINKod Kabitenyo, the Wireless
Access Program on Governance
(WAPOG) Project, and Cavite’s
pioneer project on free Wi-Fi
access for the public is the subject
of the first MoA. The agreement
provides further that DICT can
allow PGC a higher required
bandwidth in case of additional
sites/expansion of coverage as
PGC continuously progresses in
providing internet service for the
public.

The two-day sports

was held at the Bacoor Sports
Complex.
The Thirteen Martyrs
team of Trece Martires City
won the championship after a
tight competition from other
teams coming from the cities of
Tagaytay, Imus, Dasmariñas,
Gen. Trias and Bacoor and from
the municipalities of Mendez,
Noveleta, Carmona, Kawit, Gen.
Aguinaldo (Bailen) and Silang.
During the event, a
pageant of muses from the
LGBT community was held with
Ms. Von Camille H. Noble of
Carmona as the winner.
The opening ceremony

city government of Bacoor
initiated a number of activities
to strengthen its commitment to
address the dangers brought on
by the HIV virus and one of these
is the premiere showing of the
advocacy movie “Ang Timeline
ng Buhay ni B”.
The movie revolves
around the life of an adolescent
male with HIV and the dilemmas
he has to face.
The film was written
and directed by digital cinema
pioneer Crisaldo Vicente Pablo,
the film is produced by The
Love Life Project for Health and
Environment Inc. in cooperation
with the National Commission

Cavite Balikbayan Day honors
migrants and OF organizations
The spirit of Christmas was alive for many PWDs as the Provincial Government of Cavite thru the Provincial Social Welfare
Development Office headed by Ms. Felipa Servañez hosted a Christmas Party for them on December 19, 2017 at the Provincial
Gymnasium, Trece Martires City. Ms. Darylvyl Avila, Social Welfare Officer IV gave a short message thanking all the PWDs for their
effort to become productive members of the community. She added that the PWDs deserve to be happy especially this time of the year
and that the provincial government led by Governor Boying Remulla is making sure that they are well accepted and taken cared of. The
highlight of the party was a videoke singing contest which was won by the towns of Ternate, Magallanes and Carmona who bagged
the first, second and third prizes, respectively. Everybody went home with gifts from the raffles and the exchange gifts they shared.
IN celebration of the International
Migrants day observed every
18th day of December, the
Provincial Government through
the Provincial Social Welfare
and Development Office in
cooperation with the Cavite
Overseas Filipino Welfare Council
held the Cavite Balikbayan Day
on December 21, 2017 at the
Ceremonial Hall of the Provincial
Capitol in Trece Martires City.
Highlight of the program is the
recognition of Caviteño migrants
and OF organizations and their
contribution to their fellow OFs
and their communities.
Gathering more than 150
OFs and migrants coming from
different cities and municipalities
in Cavite, the event also served
as a venue to promote local
products like the Maragondon
Bamboo, Mendez’ Jacobina and
many others. Likewise, tourist
destinations were introduced by
the Provincial Tourism Office for
