SINGLE EVENT LICENCE TRIAL

Last month , ANDRA was pleased to announce the trial of an event licence . The trial follows the consideration of feedback to the ANDRA board from a number of clubs and venues ; and will allow racers to compete at events at ANDRA member venues without having to hold a full ANDRA licence .
Event licences will cost $ 50.00 and racers must be a full ANDRA member and hold a current ANDRA ( or equivalent ) medical clearance ( other sanctioning body medicals will be accepted by ANDRA ) to be eligible . Vehicles will require an ANDRA log book and tech
inspection to be raced under an event licence . The event licence can you used in place of an unlimited group two or three licence or a group one licence .
There will be no limit as to how many event licenses a competitor may use . Applications must be made through the ANDRA office at least seven days prior to an event , to allow enough time to ensure all medicals and provisions on the licence are in order . Prior to applying please check with the venue you are racing at to see if they have applied for that particular event .
For venues , there will be a limit of two events per calendar year at which event licences can be offered , and this proposal to offer will need to be made as part of the venue ’ s permit application to ANDRA at least 14 days prior to the events in question . Venues will be able to apply to ANDRA for a possible extension if they wish to hold more than two events a year at which event licences are offered .
Event licence application forms are available at the ANDRA website – www . andra . com . au – throughout the trial period . For more information or to apply please click here .

UPDATE : BURNOUT POLICY

After receiving significant feedback following the previous update ( released late last year ), ANDRA has made some changes that we hope will make compliance a little easier without reducing safety for competitors , officials and spectators .
You can view the updated policy by clicking here .

ROLLCAGE SPECIFICATIONS UPDATED

Both ANDRA Rollcage Specifications have been updated by ANDRA Technical and they can be found at the below links :
• Removable Rollcage Specification v3.0
• Welded Rollcage Specification v3.0
The updates , which became effective from the 1st of May 2018 , present changes to some requirements as well as adding clarification to other requirements that were generating questions from various rollcage fabricators .
All changes are highlighted with different coloured text throughout the documents and now bring both ANDRA Rollcage Specifications in-line with each other as well as with the current CAMS Rollcage Specification .
Removable Rollcages are still required to be approved and registered with ANDRA Technical ( prior to having a Technical Inspection ), however Welded Rollcages do not need to follow that procedure .
If you have any questions regarding the information presented in either specification , please contact ANDRA Technical on technical @ andra . com . au or 08 8271 5355 .
