“I started my Facebook page in March and I was going
through all my photos and memorabilia and started to think
about how awesome it was when I was racing and wondered
if I could do it again.
“I made contact with Phil after that to talk in more detail
which resulted in purchasing a car and trailer from him.”
“The more I thought about it and talked to my family, I quickly
knew it was something that I wanted to do again.”
The car, complete with a unique design and makeover provided
by Top Alcohol racer Jason Maggs and MPrint Industries, was
officially unveiled at MotorEX in Melbourne to the delight of
the motorsport industry and long-time fans.
To get the wheels turning Rachelle put in a phone call to good
friend Bruce Read to discuss the logistics of a return and the
possibility of buying a car.
“Lance Larsen, my crew chief from the Luxor car (in the US)
has wished me luck and offered support and some close
friends that I made in the USA are also showing their support.
Surprised, Read welcomed the news and set about helping
Splatt to make the first step.
