ndhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu
Naidu formally inaugurated the state’s interim
government complex (temporary
Secretariat) at Velagapudi village in
capital region Amaravati April 25.
A 2,000 sqft office space was
readied for use by the Chief Minister
and Chandrababu occupied it to
mark the inauguration, at 4.01 am
amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by
priests.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister
announced a slew of sops to various
sections of the people including the
state government employees. He
said that Rs 7,320 crore would be
released for payment towards the
second instalment of loan waiver to
the farmers in May. Likewise, selfhelp groups too would get an
amount of Rs 2,400 crore in June. He
signed a file relating to waiver of
loan for horticulture farmers to the
tune of Rs 375 crore and Rs 195
crore due to the farmers under the
first phase of loan waiver.
Chandrababu Naidu even began his
regular work symbolically on the
premises of the new Secretariat at
Velagapudi just after one day of its
inauguration amid hectic construction work going on around him. The
