Anderson Ranch supports art making at all levels, for all ages and across all
disciplines: an unparalleled palette of possibilities for the creative mind. There is no
better place in the world to try your hand as a beginner, and our advanced classes
will pique the most seasoned professional with small groups led by internationally
renowned artists. We offer an impressive breadth of targeted experiences from
ceramics to woodworking, sculpture to printmaking and new media to painting – all
making the Ranch a true artist’s paradise.
Ranch workshops offer immersive art experiences that coach originality, imagination
and discovery. Our artistic staff – working artists dedicated to your success – designs
and coordinates them with our talented interns and administrative staff. Together, we
commit our experience and effort to make your workshop memorable and productive.
Our goal is simple: that a one-week workshop at Anderson Ranch will drive your studio
practice for an entire year, until the following summer, that is, when you return to the
Ranch to advance your skills and renew your creative spirit.
What began 40 years ago as an effort to support local artists has blossomed into a
significant international resource. Here, each individual artist is important. Here, the
