Anderson Ranch is well known for its exciting special
events. Each summer Ranch supporters gather for the
Recognition Dinner gala and the Annual Art Auction, the
two biggest fundraisers of the year, which help to provide
funds for quality educational and artistic programming at
the Ranch. Our smaller events include the Spring and
Holiday Open Houses and the ever-popular summer
Lunchtime Auctionettes. Ranch events serve as an
opportunity for students, artists, faculty, staff and many
other friends and supporters to come together to engage
in lively conversation, experience artwork created at the
Ranch, and simply have a wonderful time.

Held on Saturday, July 19 at the Hotel Jerome, the 2014
Recognition Dinner honored Theaster Gates with the
National Artist Award, Debra and Dennis Scholl with
the Service to the Arts Award, and Lee Lyon with the
Lifetime Achievement Award. The sell-out crowd enjoyed
a lovely dinner and spirited art auction before dancing at
one of the most memorable evenings of the summer.
Sincere thanks go out to Recognition Dinner co-chairs,
Ann and Tom Korologos and Jane and Marc Nathanson.
We also thank guest auctioneer, Andrea Fiuczynski, for
her passionate auctioneering of works by contemporary
artists including: Rita Ackermann, Adam Fuss, Antony
