VISITING ARTISTS AND CRITICS
By hosting a variety of talented Visiting Artists at
Anderson Ranch, we’re able to offer our students and
artists-in-residence an opportunity to interact with
a diverse group of artists. And, through organized
presentations and public talks, friends and supporters
of the Ranch are able to actively participate in the
artists’ visits.
Visiting Artists stay anywhere from one week to three
months and are an engaged part of the Ranch community.
While on campus, they meet with students and Artistsin-Residence to discuss their work and techniques,
often providing valuable guidance and advice.
During the winter/spring and fall residencies, Visiting
Critics meet with the Artists-in-Residence, as well
as participants of the January Studio Concentration
Program. Informal lectures or slideshow presentations,
followed by dinners that are open to the public, are also
part of the Visiting Critics Program.

Avantika Bawa, Gail Kendall, Annie Lapin, Benjamin
Lira, Nathan Lynch, Takashi Nakazato, Robert
