A Cold Day in Ohio Lucas Stecz Tis a brutal day in Ohio. The cold bites at my face as I sit watching the scarlet and grey stream out the maroon tunnel. The melodic clap of 100,000 fans keeps the beat as the Script Ohio winds into position As the song begins I know I’m here Watching the OSU take on the Maize and Blue. The Wolverines gallop out of the tunnel and a roar erupts, BOOOOOOOO!!! I join in and the air exits my lungs, BOOOOOOOO!!! The coin is tossed and the Blue men call it correctly BOOOOOOOO!!! The Buckeyes boot the pigskin downfield, the Battle has begun. Both sides strike back and forth, wearing out their opponent. The arctic conditions take a toll on both players and fans, but the Buckeyes slay their enemy on the field. Despite the cold, the day is surreal, and as the sun sets and the battle closes, I know that my team is on top. At least for 365 more days. 17
