The night is dark, the air crisp.
The snow descends in a silent sound,
freshly fallen snow lays on the ground.
My ears fill with cars passing in the distance,
I am then suddenly aware of my own existence.
I lay, observing the stillness of the Earth,
pondering the process of rebirth.
Comfort then fills me as a snowflake lands in a wisp.
Walking towards the woods, I looked behind on the field.
The white light was hanging high and bright,
revealing all of which is concealed.
The bright light reassured me of the dark night,
for I was not alone, my shadow was my shield.
The stillness of winter night thus drove me further insight.
