Welcome to the first edition of Analytics Brio – an online and print magazine from Analytics & Big Data
Forum – Asia Pacific.
The response to the first executive committee meeting at NASSCOM East office was overwhelmingand
we would like to thank everybody who attended, shared, commented and gave us the roadmap to begin
the journey. We hope that you enjoy the magazine just as much and contribute as well to make it more
exciting and comprehensive going forw
ard.
The Analytics & Big Data Forum – Asia Pacific should be able to contribute to effective use of analytics
models and techniques including but not limited to Big Data, Predictive modeling, Machine learning,
sentiment analysis anddifferent tools.
The focus should be to complement each other as individuals and groups in mentoring, guiding and
inspiring in newtrends of analytics.
The outcomes can be action items at individual levels after interactions/meetings and also formulate
work
as evangelist in this area to influence associations, governments and bodies to update policies regarding
promotion and usage of analytics in the corporate as well as social developmental work.
In this issue we discuss the ways in which analytics is changing the lives of young and veteran
companies across the business domain and some of the basic questions on emerging and popular
technologies like Big Data. We also have few articles on applications of analyticsin sectors like Telecom
and Power.
