G-d . I must admit that I connect more with the fast than the upcoming Purim celebration . Like Simchat Torah … My [ our ] vessels were shattered . Broken pieces in my [ our ] soul , in my [ our ] heart . The Japanese fix broken vessels with gold , but now is not the time to fix mine [ ours ]. I will let light seep through all the cracks . G-d , Holy Hyphenated One , yes , I will celebrate on Purim , if only to manifest a reason to start celebrating . The mending of my [ our ] brokenness will happen through Your people ’ s tears and rejoicing . More precious than gold .
