Like Haman , did Hamas choose the date by lot ? It was a festival of trance , it was our day of rest , it was a Yom Tov , a good day
to catch us off guard with tatzpitaniyot ignored .
Few nations throw in their lot with us ; most lack heart or whole story and try flipping fault .
So we mask our disbelief that it ’ s just to swap many murderers for few civilians
and we read a special scroll without God named and drink
a lot for we have a lot going on , a lot on our plate that takes a lot out of us .
But is this the moment for which we ’ ve been created to have light and joy again ? For we still have a lot :
