Greetings!

note
At the foremost, I on behalf of AMRAPAALI and its team wish our readers a very happy,
prosperous and contended year ahead. AMRAPAALI is an effort of bringing world arts and
culture onto a single platform, wherein artistes and connoisseurs may create a larger
cultural diameter for themselves and the mankind. Our team is working hard to collect,
gather and report subjects of interest and benefit in its making for the sustainability of
arts, culture and heritage and also to broaden our artistic thoughts and actions.
Moving onward towards 2015, at the end of last year we’ve come across some brutal and
barbaric instances of killings and terrorism, especially to mention the Peshawar school
massacre and the Assam terrorism attack. What more can we hope for, besides peace and
love? These two vital elements have become a necessity for a contented livelihood in today’s
time followed by materialistic comforts, which cannot be denied too! May the soul of each
one who lost their life, rest in peace and their relatives and dear ones get strength to move
on in their life and responsibilities.
Like the society, art and culture too have been struggling for a better survival. And all these
three are interlinked to each other. Hence, one’s unrest leads to another’s defeat. Playing
and enhancing the soft powers of a state, nation and community leads to global success
and profound resources for cultural existence.
With advent of celebrating International Yoga Day and also the World Arabic Language Day
brings fresh hopes of enhancing and spreading culture and its potent artistic benefits.
In this issue, we have brought some reports related to
preservation and promoting soft powers on account
of growing towards globalization.
Arts has always been a practice of equity for
development in an individual and community at large.
In this year, let us all strive together with a
resolution to promote and indulge ourselves
into traditional and age old arts and culture
and also let our children and the young
generation practice, learn and get enriched
from it, in their own benevolent ways.
Let’s build a nation wherein besides
being a doctor, scientist and an
engineer…a child can dream to be
an artiste too!
