In India this fruit is popularly known as
Seetaphal/Saripha/Ataaphal etc. etc. and it
is widely available in particular season.
The pulp of the fruit when mixed with milk it
would become custard and tastes like
custard, so it is called as custard apple. It is
widely used to make jam - jelly and
sharbats.
Custard apples contain anti-oxidants like
Vitamin C, which helps to fight free radicals
in our body. It is also high in potassium and
magnesium that protects our heart from
cardiac disease. Moreover, it controls our
blood pressure also. Custard apples contain
