CLEAN WATER CRISIS Sausan Maulida Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia
The earth is composed of 97,5 % water but only 1 % of the water is fresh water. Freshwater source comes from rainfall that are deposited into a lake, river and groundwater basins. The potential availability of clean water tends to decline from year to year due to environmental pollution. This condition is exacerbated by climate change and are starting to take effect causing Indonesia to flood in the rainy season and drought in the dry season. Clean water crisis can lead to widespread of diarrhea and skin diseases due to fungi.
