Short Description
Leptospirosis is a zoonosis of worldwide distribution, a waterborne disease that can also occurs through a great likelihood of contact with a Leptospiracontaminated environment, for example, poor housing and waste disposal which attract the causal agent such as rats, dogs, etc. It often peaks seasonally, sometimes in outbreaks, and is often linked to climate changes, to poor urban slum communities, to occupation or to recreational activities. It has a great possibility to have an outbreak yet it is still overlooked and underreported causing Indonesian society unaware about this.
