Jamieson ” and opening to a gilt-tooled dark red morocco leather writing surface and a row of small compartments fitted with two clear glass ink pots with sterling silver locking caps and a pounce pot with sterling cap ( all London , 1824 , untraced mark SN ); the pin-locked side drawer compartmentalized and appointed with clear glass soap and sponge boxes and a third oblong box of wood ( a skillful replacement ), all with sterling covers ( London 1834 , mark of Wm Neal ), a circular glass box with sterling lid ( London , 1838 , probably mark of Thomas Diller ), two stoppered clear glass bottles with unmarked silver screw caps , an apparently unmarked silver retractable shaving brush with monogrammed lid , a vintage German straight razor , a small turned bone ointment jar with screw cap , and two brass-inlaid rosewood lids on a bespoke extendable-action stand allowing the writing slope to be deployed .
