Depth 8 ½ in . 1,200 / 1,600 From the Starbuck East Brick , Nantucket Note : The Sobraon was launched 17 April 1866 and sailed from Plymouth on her maiden voyage 21 November 1866 . She arrived in Sydney in just 75 days on her homeward passage to London in April 1867 , she carried 200 passengers and 5,000 bales of wool . The Sobraon made six voyages to Sydney before her new owners Devitt & Moore placed her in their Melbourne trade . From 1872 , she made 19 annual voyages to Melbourne . The Sabraon was an elite passenger ship normally carrying 90 first class and 40 other passengers . The standard of her accommodation and the services provided was unsurpassed by other ships at the time .
