COVER ART: Quoth the Raven by Asia Sanchez (Ink on paper)

What does cover art tell us about a publication? As our premiere issue we were challenged to select something from our many submissions that conveyed our mission. We sought something that identified what this magazine is all about. Asia's whimsical piece, an illustrated play on words seemed appropriate to send a simple message that all creativity lends to inspire more creativity. In our case, art and words will hopefully inspire more art and words or at the very least give our readers something to stimulate thought and discussions.

American Writers Journal - an artistic magazine

- a cooperative effort

AWJ presents a collection of words and art to inspire, to cultivate creativity. Artists and writers from all across the US have contibuted work to this cooperative magazine to help create a product to stimulate the brain and inspire more creative works. In return for their contributions these artists and authors are published and share in the profits generated from magazine purchases.
