THE HONORS: THE FIRST TELEVISED AWARDS SHOW HONORING
OUR VETERANS & MILITARY HEROES
The signature event of the AVC’s Annual Veterans Conference,
The Honors, was filmed the evening of Saturday, November 8, airing
nationwide the following weekend on Reelz Channel, as well as worldwide
to our military men and women serving abroad on DoD News.
on its website at AVChonors.com.
The Honors was launched as a television show for DoD News in 2012,
expanding to Reelz Channel in 2014. While there are now awards shows
on television honoring everything from film to music to sports, prior to
The Honors there were none that spotlighted the stories of heroism among
the men and women who serve and sacrifice to protect our freedoms.
Celebrity supporters of our military, including Pat Sajak, Gary Sinise, Joe
Mantegna, Megyn Kelly, and more came together to help share the stories
of American valor among our heroes
from the Greatest Generation to
the latest generation. The Honors
television broadcast, along with
stories on the honorees, can be seen

THE WOUNDED WARRIOR EXPERIENCE

row was The Wounded Warrior Experience, a television event presented by Military
Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation.
The Wounded Warrior Experience is a special
panel discussion, filmed for broadcast on Veterans
Day and throughout November, airing on cable
and satellite systems and to our troops around the
world on DoD News. Hosted by Fox News National
