Aegis Secure Key 3.0 Brings a World of Advanced Data Protection
The Aegis Secure Key 3.0 is a completely hardware based authentication and encryption key , therefore no critical security parameters are ever shared with any host computer . All authentication processes take place on the drive ’ s onboard keypad . All encryption is done within the device on the fly . Being completely hardware based means there is no software involvement whatsoever , eliminating all opportunity for key stroke logging , hacking , or brute force entry . Additional features include two different user access PINs ( one Admin PIN and one User PIN ), programmable auto lock , lock override to hold the Secure Key unlocked through USB port re-enumeration , and a self-destruct PIN .
